Link Lock - Password-protect Links
This application is entirely programmed in JavaScript. This was done intentionally, so that all encryption and decryption happens client-side. This means the code runs as a distributed application, relying only on GitHub Pages for infrastructure. It also means that no data about locked links is ever stored on a server. The code is designed to be auditable so users can investigate what is happening behind the scenes.
Link Lock - Password-protect links
Link-Locker is a security tool that uses AES in GCM mode for password encryption and PBKDF2 with salted SHA-256 (100,000 iterations) for key generation. These advanced cryptographic techniques help to ensure that passwords and sensitive information are kept secure and protected against potential threats. The SubtleCrypto API is utilized for encryption, decryption, and key generation processes. By default, the initialization vector is randomized, but the salt is not. However, the user has the option to enable randomization for both the initialization vector and salt through advanced settings. If either the salt or initialization vector are generated randomly, they are included with the encrypted data. The API is versioned to ensure that previously encrypted links will continue to function even with updates to newer versions of the tool.
Specific Target Audience. Your goal is to provide content exceptionally to particular members, for example, divide membership by paid and unpaid users or women and men. Provide two different groups with two various password-protected links. Each group is redirected to the relevant content.
Once a page is protected, its passwords and access links will be managed on a pop-up screen. Simply click on the Copy access link icon in the Action column to get the access link of the post.
For standard access links, the password will be embedded right in the token at the end of the page URL, for instance, -is-my-example-post/?pass=123!. In this example, we can easily see the password to the page -is-my-example-post/ is 123!
You can still display items from password-protected collection pages on other pages using summary blocks and archive blocks, but visitors won't be able to click through to access the item without the password.
Sync Pro and Business customers can set an expiration date on shared links. People will only be able to access the link until it expires, otherwise, once expired they will get an error message. To set a link expiry date:
Sync Pro and Business customers can disable downloads on shared links. If the file is previewable, recipients can view the linked document, but cannot physically download it to their computer or mobile device through Sync.
Sync Pro and Business customers can enable file uploads on links. The people you request files from can upload directly to a folder you link to, using a web browser (no Sync account required). This allows people to send you files easily.
With enhanced privacy disabled links are encrypted in transit with SSL, which provides the highest level of compatibility in terms of web browser support, while still being encrypted and secure.
With enhanced privacy enabled links are encrypted with SSL, and additionally with a layer of end-to-end encryption. This provides more privacy, at the cost of reduced web browser functionality, and file size support. Safari mobile, older web browsers and files larger than 500 MB are not fully supported with enhanced privacy enabled. Recipients of links using an unsupported web browser will get an error message when trying to access enhanced privacy enabled links, and will not be able to download folders as Zip.
Jira Cloud Secure Share lets you share your Jira issues with any user (even outside Jira license tier). It allows you to create & share access links for your Jira cloud issues. Your end-users will be able to access the shared Jira issues with the links.
Dropbox has a password protection function. This function is designed for sharing links. If you share the folder with password protection, only specific people can access the file. Others need to fill in the password if they want to view the document. Follow the easy steps to set a password for share link:
Dropbox doesn't have such features to password-protect your folder into private. Don't worry. EaseUS LockMyFile is an easy and reliable folder lock tool to protect Dropbox folders with passwords. You can download the software, lock the file with a password and then upload files to Dropbox.
Many Twitter users post links using URL shorteners, like bit.ly or TinyURL, to create unique, shortened links that are easier to share in Tweets. However, URL shorteners can obscure the end domain, making it difficult to tell where the link goes to.
In general, please use caution when clicking on links. If you click on a link and find yourself unexpectedly on a page that resembles the Twitter login page, do not enter your username and password. Instead, go to twitter.com and log in directly from the Twitter homepage.
Activation Lock turns on automatically when you set up Find My.* After it's turned on, Apple securely stores your Apple ID on its activation servers and links it to your device. Your Apple ID password or device passcode is required before anyone can turn off Find My, erase your device, or reactivate and use your device.
While it is convenient to choose to share with people through sharing links, your shared files may be at risk. Because the person who has obtained the sharing link can share with as many other people as they can without your permission. Therefore, you may wonder if you can share Google Drive with password.
This plugin does not protect images or uploaded files so if you attach the media files to the protected pages or posts, they are still accessible to anyone with the link. Use Prevent Direct Access (PDA) Gold to block their direct file URL access.
These private links are random, unguessable, customizable, and most importantly, not indexed by Google or any search engines. You can even customize your private links to make them meaningful, memorable and legitimate to your users.
For instance, you can limit your private content access to the first 5 people who click on the shared link. Alternatively, you can set the private link available only for 2 days. After that, the link expires and becomes invalid. These private links can be shared through emails, social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, as well as email marketing software.
Box has designed its service to allow users to collaborate on content using one of two features: 1) inviting collaborators or 2) sending share links to your content. Although these features enable easy collaboration of folders and files, extra precautions are necessary to ensure that data is shared with authorized users only. The best way to do that is to set the correct permissions to ensure the security and privacy of your data. In the following sections, we will discuss how to share your content safely.
The "Viewer-Uploader" access level helps to avoid the risk of accidental or malicious deletion of data in your collaborated folder, while still providing collaborators with the core collaboration functions such as read and update access. This is especially powerful when combined with defaulting all shared links to "Collaborator Only" access level as described in Recommendation #3.
To restrict shared links to "Collaborators Only" access level for a folder and its files, follow the steps below (this assumes that collaborators have already been invited to the folder. See section on Collaborator Access Levels section for more details):
Some times you want to share files with others only for a specific period time, after which you may want to take away access to that file. Box offers ways for you to deactivate the links you shared by way of setting an expired date on the links (applicable only to "Open" and "@Berkeley" links only) or manually disabling the link. Doing so will reduce the likelihood that files and folder, especially those containing sensitive data, become orphaned and unmanaged after a period of active collaboration.
If a business need requires that a sensitive file be shared with users outside of campus, Box allows end users to password-protect public web links, requiring visitors to enter the set password to access the file or folder. Please consult Box and Google Data Use Agreement on appropriate usage of Box for various restricted data types.
To lock links to a library, in the Library window, on the Library tab, click Lock Links. The link from the linked block to its parent library is now locked. When you refresh the model, you see a change in the link badge. The locked link badges have a black background.
Locked linked block links cannot be disabled from the parent library block. Such links can only be disabled from the command line by changing the LinkStatus to inactive. For more information, see Control Linked Block Programmatically.
If you open a locked linked block, the window title displays Locked Link: blockname. The bottom left corner shows a lock icon and a link badge. You can also hover over the link badge to view lock information.
To unlock links from the Library window, on the Library tab, click Links Locked. If the library is locked, the option to lock or unlock the links is disabled. You must unlock the library to enable the option.
Locked links cannot be edited. If you try to make a structural change to a locked link (such as editing the diagram), you see a message that you cannot modify the link because it is either locked or inside another locked link.
When you copy a block, the library status determines the status of a link (locked or not). If you copy a block from a library with locked links, the link is locked. If you later unlock the library links, any existing linked blocks do not change to unlocked links until you refresh the links. 041b061a72
